Agenda/ Rules for Open Hairy Horse Show Classes
Groups: * Under age 9* Junior: Kids 3rd-5th Grade
* Intermediate: Kids 6th-8th Grade
* Senior: Kids 9th-12th Grade
* Single or Married Adults (without children)
* Moms and Dads/ Grandmas and Grandpas
*Note* All groups are eligible for All-Around awards, hut Moms/Dads will be two separate awards even though they will be a combined group class. You must be present to receive and All-Around Award at the end of the show, or the prize will go to the next highest point contestant, unless special arrangements have been made.**
Rules:
1. Any contestant rides AT THEIR OWN RISK! A release form must be signed by a parent/guardian for each child competing, and for adults over 18 a release form MUST be singed for themselves. All contestants must have medical insurance to cover any accidents or problems at this show. The show management nor the Gold Spike facility IS NOT liable for any kind of injury, activity, or death involving the shows.
2. There will be top five ribbons for each class except Lead-line. (Everyone wins.)
3. Fees will be $25 all day fee (non-refundable) or $10 per class. Lead-line is free.
4. If there are less than 5 contestants in a class, classes may be combined, but points still remain with the group you are showing with. 1st place- 9 points, 2nd- 7 points, 3rd- 5 points, 4th- 3points, 5th- 1point. A tie will not have to be broken; both contestants will receive a prize. All patterns will be posted during registration and duration of show.
5. In all judged classes the rider will be judged together with the horse as a team.
6. Snaffle bit horses must be 5 years old and under.
7. $25 all day fee is one horse, one rider. Additional horses shown require a separate number and fee. Most classes will run youngest to oldest.
8. Outside food and drink cannot be brought in, but a concession stand will be available.
9. English classes must have proper tack, and wear helmets. Helmets for other classes are recommended, but not mandatory. Riding boots must be worn, as well as jeans.

6. Pony Driving (classes 7-10 Showmanship)
7. English Pleasure Rail Work Youth
8. English Pleasure Rail Work Adult
9. Hunter Hack (Rail Work and 18" Jumps) Youth
10. Hunter Hack Adult
11. LEAD-LINE Youth (cannot be in a walk/jog/lope class)
12. Snaffle-bit Western Pleasure Youth
13. Snaffle- bit Western Pleasure Adult
19. Walk/ Jog (Youth 8 or under)
20. Walk/Jog (Youth 9-17)
21. Walk/ Jog Adult (19 and up)
22-26. Western Pleasure Age Groups
27. Snaffle Bit Reining Youth
28. Snaffle Bit Reining Adult
29-33. Reining (Rotates with Trail)
34. Pro-Reigning (Freestyle- no music)
35-39. Pole- Bending
40-44. Barrels
45-49. Keyhole (Will rotate with Scurry/Gymkhana)
